Welcome back to school students and educators! Now that you're settling in, we thought we'd let you know that submissions are open for the 2017 Honoring Our Rivers student anthology.
As always, we want students (K-college) to submit their art, photography, poetry, prose, and foreign language translations to us reflecting their connections to Pacific Northwest rivers. And since our rivers are connected to the environments surrounding them, that means entries related to all things watershed, too.
This year's edition will also share a "working rivers" theme in honor of the Port of Portland's 125th anniversary. It's just one more way to honor the rivers that connect communities together. From river-connected towns, traditions, and economies (ie, fishing, agriculture) to sustainable transportation, iconic bridges, and Lewis and Clark's expedition.
How to Submit
In an effort to reduce our paper trail, we encourage you to submit via our website this year. You can learn all the details about submitting here.
