Fall Student Reading Events

Welcome Back to School everyone! We hope everyone is settling into their new school year well.

This weekend students have two exciting opportunities to read their poetry and stories. And guess what? It's not too late to join in and read! If you would like to come read your poem or story, contact HOR's coordinator, Tess Malijenovsky, at 704-491-3158.

Saturday, Sept. 16 - Students will read their poetry at Salem's River 2 Ridge Environmental Symposium. The Symposium will have speakers and exhibitors -- including yours truly -- to highlight certain aspects of the Salem River 2 Ridge course route, a race that has participants kayaking, biking and running their way through the Willamette Valley and up into the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range.
