Student Art & Poetry Exhibition in Lake Oswego

Did you know that April is National Poetry Month? And, April 22 is Earth Day! Help us celebrate both by celebrating young authors and artists in Oregon who love their rivers and by getting crafty at any one of these upcoming events.

The Arts Council of Lake Oswego and Willamette Partnership's Honoring Our Rivers project present the Honoring Our Rivers Student Art & Poetry Gallery Exhibition April 6-27 in Lake Oswego. 

Friday, April 6, 5-7 p.m. | Open Reception

Join us in kicking off the gallery exhibition at the opening reception where we'll celebrate these creative young minds and their voice for the rivers.

Thursdays, April 12, 19, 26, 1-3 p.m. | Free Community Art Making

The Art Council of Lake Oswego is hosting free art-making programming for all ages every Thursday throughout the Honoring Our Rivers Exhibition. Come play and create!

  • April 12th: Mixed media landscape collages
  • April 19th: Earth muffin tin prints
  • April 26th: Cardboard animal collages

Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m. to noon | Earth Day Art & Poetry Celebration

Join us in celebrating Earth Day (during Poetry Month) with free poetry writing and recycled art-making activities for all ages. Please register for this event here.

NOTE: We're looking for students who have submitted poetry or writing to Honoring Our Rivers in the past who want to come read at the opening reception.
